Travelers flying out of Mineta San Jose International Airport this holiday season could be in for some surprises, as a number of carriers are changing terminals. The changes are part of the airport's $1.3 billion modernization program.
"We're starting the transition to the new airport," said airport spokesman Dave Vossbrink. "This week we're moving JetBlue Airways from our old Terminal C to our transformed Terminal A. Next week we're doing the same for United Airlines and Continental Airlines. We're starting the step-by-step change to get into our new buildings which will be complete next June when we open our new Terminal B."
Vossbrink said the airport looks entirely different than it did just a year ago and the airport is much more efficient and comfortable.
Next up, the demolition of Terminal C.
