8 Hurt In SF Visitacion Valley Apartment Fire

An apartment fire in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood Saturday night hospitalized eight people, including one firefighter and three children, fire officials said Sunday.
The blaze was reported at 11:13 p.m. Saturday at 2420 Bayshore Boulevard, and was brought under control about 11:45 p.m.
A firefighter was hospitalized after sustaining trauma while fighting the blaze, according to officials.
The fire also hospitalized seven other people, including three children. A police officer was also treated for smoke inhalation and released at the scene, authorities said.
The American Red Cross responded to help those displaced by the blaze.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
