Crumbling SF Pier Closed For Fleet Week

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― San Francisco's Municipal Pier at Aquatic Park has been part of the picturesque waterfront since 1929. But it has deteriorated and suffered in the 80 years since.

The National Park Service has decided to close Municipal Pier during Fleet Week celebrations, saying the pier can't handle hundreds of people running from one side to the other watching planes fly overhead.
