San Francisco Man Stabbed, Killed In Mission Dist.
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
Police in San Francisco were looking for witnesses Sunday who may have information about a fatal stabbing in the city's Mission District Sunday morning.
Officers responded to Cesar Chavez and Folsom streets regarding reports of a fight around 12:30 a.m., Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.
Upon arrival, officers found a 33-year-old man lying in the street at Cesar Chavez and Bryant streets.
He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died.
Police believe four or five males were involved in the incident.
Around the time of the stabbing, several people in vehicles may
have witnessed the incident but maybe didn't realize what was transpiring, Williams said.
"We encourage possible witnesses to come forward with information to help us solve this crime," he said.
Witnesses can remain anonymous by calling the police tip line at (415) 575-4444.
It is unknown if the stabbing was gang related. No suspects had been arrested, according to Williams.
