Condo Construction Booming In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― With San Francisco's population projected to hit 823,000 before 2015, there's nowhere to go but up. And that's why a sea of cranes are helping build new high-rise condominiums.

54,000 new condominiums are currently in various stages of development throughout San Francisco, especially in the South of Market and along the waterfront. In fact, one quarter of the city's available land is part of a new zoning plan approved by the Planning Commission.
