Wanted Man Jailed In San Anselmo Alleged Prowling

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

SAN ANSELMO (BCN) ― Police are advising San Anselmo residents to lock their parked vehicles after two men were seen prowling around neighborhood cars last week.

Officers responded to a 911 call from a resident reporting two males looking into vehicles and walking onto properties in the area of Crooked and Madera avenues on Oct. 19 at around 4:30 p.m., according to the San Anselmo Police Department.

Police made contact with two men matching descriptions given by the caller.

Justin Brannon, 27, of Champagne, Ill., was eventually arrested for a $140,000 forgery warrant out of Culver City.

Brannon was booked at Marin County Jail.

Police on Monday advised residents to always lock their vehicles and homes to prevent possible thefts. Residents were also warned against leaving belongings in plain sight in vehicles, including mail.
