Suspects Sought In 2 Fairfield Armed Robberies
FAIRFIELD (BCN) ―
Fairfield police are investigating two robberies that happened within an hour of each other Tuesday night.
Two suspects armed with a shotgun robbed two employees of Papa John's Pizza on North Texas Street at 10:20 p.m. The robbers demanded cash from the register and fled through the parking lot. The employees were not injured, Fairfield police Lt. Joel Orr said.
Both suspects are black men in their teens or early 20s. One is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs 150-160 pounds.
The other is 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, Orr said. Both suspects were wearing bananas across their faces, black hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.
That same night around 11:10 p.m., two suspects robbed the AM/PM market on Lopes Road in Cordelia, Orr said. They grabbed the clerk by the hair and ordered her to open the register, Orr said.
The suspects, described as a black man and a Hispanic man, then forced the clerk into an office, took her cell phone and cash and fled, Orr said.
The black suspect is described as in his late teens, 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing.
The Hispanic suspect is described as 20-25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches with a medium build. He was wearing a long-sleeve blue hooded flannel shirt and black pants.
