A man suffered a gunshot wound to his hand in an apparent road rage shooting in San Francisco's Bayview District Thursday evening, a police spokeswoman said.
Lt. Lyn Tomioka said the 20-year-old victim was driving on Bayshore Boulevard when the suspect vehicle attempted to move in front of him.
The victim did not let the vehicle pass in front of him and, as the two vehicles approached Paul Avenue, a man in a rear passenger seat of the suspect vehicle fired two shots into the victim vehicle.
The driver suffered a gunshot wound to his hand and his passenger, his sister, escaped injury, Tomioka said.
The victim managed to drive to his home and was then taken to the hospital by a family member. His injury was not life-threatening, Tomioka said.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect vehicle.
