Oakland Tribune Wants School Police Chief Sacked

OAKLAND (CBS 5) ― The Oakland Tribune is calling for the Oakland School District police chief to be fired, saying he is unfit for duty after detaining a photographer covering a protest on Halloween day.

Photographer Jane Tyska was sent to the Fruitvale BART station when the transit system was shut down by hundreds of students protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement. But Chief Art Michel said Tyska was inciting a riot and hit his patrol car, eventually detaining Tyska and confiscating her camera and videotape.
