Two men in San Francisco were shot late Thursday night in the city's Potrero Hill neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the unit block of Dakota Street at around 11:30 p.m., police said, and found two men suffering gunshot wounds.

Both men were taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for their injuries, which were not expected to be life threatening, police said.

Information on arrests was not immediately available Friday morning.
