2 Pleasanton Teens Struck While Crossing Crosswalk
PLEASANTON (BCN) ―
Two teenage girls were hospitalized Thursday evening when a vehicle struck them in a Pleasanton crosswalk.
Officers responded to the intersection of Tawny Drive and Norton Way at around 7 p.m., where a 14 and 15-year-old girl had been hit walking in a crosswalk by a Lexus sedan, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
Both girls were taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, which were not expected to be life threatening, according to police.
The Lexus driver, 43-year-old Pleasanton resident Sandra Ogolin, was reportedly traveling at the posted 25 mph speed limit when she hit the girls.
She was not injured in the crash.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident, and do not believe alcohol was a factor.
