A battle over land use is brewing in Pleasanton, but the outcome of the fight could have a ripple effect across Northern California.
The City of Pleasanton is trying to uphold a cap on housing adopted in 1996. Attorney General Jerry Brown said that cap forces workers to commute to the growing number of job openings in the city, taking a toll on the environment and California's infrastructure. He wants the city to raise the cap to make it easier for people that work in Pleasanton to live there.
Simon Perez has more on the battle over growing Pleasanton in his video report.
