3 Arrested In Robbery, Assault At Pinole Mall
PINOLE (BCN) ―
Police arrested three men Thursday afternoon for allegedly assaulting and robbing three people at the Del Monte Shopping Center in Pinole.
Police received a call shortly before 12:30 p.m. reporting a robbery at the shopping center, located at 600 San Pablo Ave.
The three victims told police they had just left a business when a man approached them and asked for money. The man was later identified as 19-year-old Pinole resident Salamon Abdi, police said.
When the victims refused to give the Abdi their money, Abdi and two other men allegedly assaulted them and stole property from them. Abdi also allegedly kicked the victim's car, police said.
Just minutes after the attack was reported, Pinole police Officer Matt Wallace stopped the suspects' vehicle and arrested Abdi, James Erckenbrack, an 18-year-old El Sobrante resident, and Samson Quenga, a 19-year-old Suisun City resident, police said.
The victims' property was allegedly found inside the vehicle and the three suspects were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
