Petaluma Traffic Stop Leads To Marijuana Bust

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

PETALUMA (BCN) ― A 46-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning after an officer allegedly found 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his vehicle, police said.

The officer conducted a traffic stop on Tyler O'Neal, an El Cajon resident, on U.S. Highway 101 south of Petaluma Road at about 12:20 a.m.

Police said the officer had his canine partner named Rico sniff the outside of O'Neal's vehicle and that the dog was drawn to the trunk.

The officer allegedly located 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk and O'Neal was booked into the Sonoma County jail on charges of transportation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale.
