Earthquakes Rumble In SJ, Pacifica
PACIFICA (BCN) ―
The Pacifica Police Department and the California Highway Patrol did not receive any immediate reports of injuries or damages after a 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck about a mile from Pacifica Thursday morning.
The quake struck at about 5:31 a.m. and had a depth of 6.3 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor was centered 1 mile northwest of Pacifica, 4 miles west of San Bruno and 10 miles southwest of San Francisco, the USGS reported.
Bay Area Rapid Transit and Caltrain service have reportedly not been affected by the earthquake Thursday morning.
An earlier earthquake struckĀ east of San Jose about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. There were no reports of injury as a result of the Magnitude 3.0 quake.
