Crews Hold Oil Spill Drill Off Bolinas Coast
BOLINAS (CBS 5) ―
Crews conducted a simulated oil spill off the Marin County coast on Thursday, in preparation for when the next spill strikes. They dumped an environmentally-friendly substance in the Bolinas Lagoon.
Teams from the U.S. Coast Guard, State Fish and Game and the National Parks used the test to try out new booms to collect oil before it does any damage to wildlife.
