Reward Offered In Oakland Restaurant Robberies

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

OAKLAND (CBS 5 / AP) ― Oakland police and Crime Stoppers are hoping an offer of reward money will help them stop a rash of recent takeover robberies of Oakland restaurants.

Police said in the latest of three robberies, four men took the cash and valuables of about a dozen customers and employees of the Milano Restaurant Sunday night.

No one was injured, but police say one of the robbers put a gun to the head of one of customers.

The incident was the second takeover robbery in Oakland during the weekend and the third in two weeks.

The Happy Garden Restaurant was held up by three men who robbed a dozen customers Friday night.

On March 31, three men entered the Red Boy Pizza and held up dozen customers there.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $7,500 in reward money in each restaurant robbery. Anyone with information on any of these restaurant robberies are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (510) 777-3211
