Police briefly cordoned off a portion of the Berekely Marina Tuesday evening while a bomb squad inspected a suspicious-looking box that turned out to pose no danger.
Written on the side of the locked box were the words: "81 milimeter mortar shells," authorities said.
Mortar shells are weapons that military and paramilitary groups use, but it turned out that no mortar shells were actually in the box.
The bomb squad found that the three-foot by two-foot box contained tools, not explosives.
