Oakland Shooting Hospitalizes 16-Year-Old Girl
OAKLAND (BCN) ―
A 16-year-old girl who was shot early Saturday morning was at an Oakland hospital with life-threatening injuries, a police spokesman said.
The shooting was reported at 1:26 a.m. Officers saw a vehicle driving erratically in the 3400 block of International Boulevard, Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said.
Officers stopped the vehicle, which had four people inside. They saw that the 16-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the vehicle, had been shot, he said.
Officers learned the shooting occurred in the 1500 block of 35th Avenue and felony assault investigators were called to the area and were conducting the follow-up investigation.
