2 More Fatal Shootings In Oakland Overnight

OAKLAND (BCN) ― A male victim was fatally shot in Oakland Friday morning just hours after another male victim was killed late Thursday night, according to the Police Department.

The city's latest homicide was reported around 2 a.m. in the area of 81st Avenue and Plymouth Street, police said. A male victim was fatally shot, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.

Shortly before Friday morning's homicide, a fatal shooting was reported at about 11:50 p.m. Thursday in the 5800 block of East 17th Street, police said. A male victim was killed, and his identity has not been released, according to the coroner's bureau. 

Friday morning's shooting marks Oakland's fourth fatal shooting since Tuesday morning, according to police.

A 33-year-old Oakland man was killed around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, police said. Officers located the victim in a vehicle in the 8700 block of Bancroft Avenue, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His identity has not been released, according to the coroner's bureau.

Another fatal shooting was reported around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Mead Avenue. A 23-year-old Oakland woman died at the scene, according to the coroner's bureau. Her identity has not been released, officials said.
