Man Found Shot Inside Vehicle In Oakland

Police in Oakland are investigating a shooting that left one person dead Monday afternoon.

Units responded to the 3500 block of San Pablo Avenue at around 4:30 p.m., where the victim of a shooting was found inside a vehicle that had crashed into a pole, according to the Oakland Police Department.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting had taken place in the area of 40th Street and San Pablo Avenue, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

No arrests were made, police said, and suspect information was not immediately available.
