2 Hurt In North Richmond Shooting

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch
NORTH RICHMOND (BCN) ― Two men were injured in a flurry of gunfire in unincorporated North Richmond Thursday morning, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Market Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on reports of dozens of shots heard in the area, sheriff's Sgt. Keith Chelini said.

Arriving deputies found a man suffering a serious gunshot wound to his arm. The victim was taken to Doctors Hospital and then flown to John Muir Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, Chelini said.

Another victim suffered a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening and
was driven to a local hospital in a private vehicle, Chelini said.

Investigators found about 30 shell casings at the scene of the shooting, according to Chelini. No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available.
