San Francisco firefighters worked Thursday evening to control a two-alarm
structure fire in the city's Nob Hill neighborhood.

The blaze was first reported to the fire department at 5:07 p.m. and was contained within the hour.

The fire broke out in an apartment in a building near the intersection of Pine and Jones streets, fire officials said.

The structure has multiple floors but the extent of damage to the building was not immediately known.

No injuries were reported.
