SF Mayor Newsom Marries Actress Siebel In Montana

STEVENSVILLE, Montana (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ― San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom took a break from his busy job and gubernatorial ambitions to marry actress Jennifer Lynn Siebel at Siebel's parents' Montana ranch on Saturday.

It is the 34-year-old Siebel's first marriage and the second for the 40-year old Newsom, who divorced legal analyst Kimberly Guilfoyle in March 2006.

Newsom met Siebel in October 2006 and they have been together ever since. Siebel was at Newsom's side when he was sworn in for his second term as mayor in January. She also stood by him after he publicly admitted to having had an affair with a staff member's wife and a drinking problem.

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco traveled to Montana to attend the wedding along with other friends and family.

The wedding was officiated by a friend of the couple, Carol Simone; designed by another friend of the couple, Stanlee Gatti; and coordinated by Siebel's godsister, Jocelyn Arelt, according to mayor's spokeswoman Giselle Barry.

Siebel is an actress who has a recurring role in the NBC television series ''Life'' and who graduated from Stanford University and Stanford Business School. She is also the spokesperson for Women's Independent Cinema, which distributes independent films created by women filmmakers.

Newsom has served as mayor of San Francisco since 2004. He graduated from Santa Clara University and is a founder of 15 businesses, including restaurants, hotels and wineries.

The mayor and his new bride will honeymoon in Africa.
