Peninsula Student Threatened For Being Gay

BELMONT (CBS 5) ― Notre Dame De Namur University in Belmont prides itself on its culture of tolerance, so it was a big surprise that a gay student is the target of alleged harassment.

The university confirms that a few members of the men's basketball team confronted Nich Lane in the dormitory and threatened him. One student even said that when the school newspaper reported the incident, the threats escalated.

Linda Yee talked to the student about his experience in her video report.
