Candles Blamed For Fire That Destroyed Napa Home
NAPA COUNTY (BCN) ―
A fire that destroyed a two-story house in unincorporated Napa County Monday was started accidentally by decorative candles, the Napa County Fire Marshal's Office said Tuesday.
Fire Marshal Pete Munoa said the fire at 33 Cottonwood Court in the Circle Oaks subdivision west of the city of Napa was reported around 4 p.m.
One person was in the 3,000-square-foot residence when the fire started but escaped safely, Munoa said.
The fire was contained around 7:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters from Cal Fire, the Napa Fire Department and Napa County Fire's Capell Valley, Gordon Valley, Soda Canyon, Dry Creek Lakota, Spanish Flat and Carneros stations also responded to the fire, Munoa said.
