Bicyclist Seriously Hurt In Crash With Muni Train
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / BCN) ―
San Francisco Municipal Railway service was restored to the M-Ocean View light rail line late Wednesday after a disruption caused by an accident involving a bicyclist.
The accident was reported at about 10:30 a.m. at Randolph and Arch streets, Muni spokesman Judson True said.
True said it appears the bicyclist was headed south and was riding downhill on Arch Street when he struck the right side of the M-Ocean View train as it traveled west on Randolph Street through the intersection.
Both the southbound approach to the intersection on Arch Street and the westbound approach on Randolph are controlled by stop signs, he said.
