Motorcyclists Outraged By Spike In SF Meter Rates
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ―
The high cost of San Francisco real estate is well known, but some small plots of land have recently seen a huge price spike.
San Francisco has raised the rates on motorcycle parking spots from 25 cents an hour to 70 cents an hour. The Department of Parking and Traffic faces a $129 million defect and in July raised fees, but it's just getting around to changing the motorcycle meter.
In his video report, Mike Sugerman talks to motorcycle riders who are outraged by the huge fee hike.
