Rohnert Park Resident Escapes Burning Mobile Home

ROHNERT PARK (BCN) ― Rohnert Park firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that fully engulfed a mobile home early Friday morning.

The fire at 156 Almeria Court in the Rancho Feliz Mobile Home Park was reported at 2:42 a.m., Sgt. Art Sweeney said. The blaze began on a porch and spread to the entire home. The lone resident of the home managed to escape, Sweeney said.

Firefighters evacuated all the residences on the court until the fire was contained, Sweeney said. Between 10 and 15 firefighters from the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and the Rancho Adobe and Rincon Valley fire departments responded.

Sweeney said no neighboring mobile homes were burned and one nearby mobile home sustained radiant heat damage but is still habitable. So far there is no damage estimate, Sweeney said, and there were no injuries.
