San Francisco Minimum Wage Up To $9.79 In January
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
The San Francisco Labor Standards Enforcement announced Friday the city's minimum wage will increase by 43 cents next year.
Wages will increase to $9.79 in January, according to labor standards enforcement.
The current national minimum wage is $6.55 and will raise to $7.50 in July 2009. The state's minimum wage is $8.
San Francisco will update multilingual posters to announce the new rates and mail the posters to 90,000 registered businesses, according to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's office.
