2 Sought In Menlo Park Home Invasion
MENLO PARK (BCN) ―
Menlo Park police are trying to identify two men who committed a home invasion robbery Monday evening.
Police responded to several 911 calls reporting a robbery in progress at a home in the 700 block of Pierce Road at about 6:30 p.m., police said.
Arriving officers found a man and his girlfriend who said they had just been robbed at gunpoint.
The victim told police he was walking from his home to his car when two men carrying black semi-automatic handguns approached and ordered him back inside.
The men threatened to harm the victim and his girlfriend unless their demands were met, police said. The robbers then took electronics and cash, then fled.
Neither victim was injured in the robbery.
The first suspect was described as a black man of unknown age, around 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and had a black scarf covering his face.
The second was described as an approximately 22-year-old black man, about 6 feet tall and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. He was also wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black scarf over his face.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Menlo Park police Officer Dixon at (650) 330-6300, the detective unit or the anonymous tip line at (650) 330-6395.
