SF Mayor Newsom Engaged To Actress Jennifer Siebel
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ―
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom proposed to actress Jennifer Siebel in Hawaii over the weekend and the couple are now engaged to be married, the mayor's spokesman told CBS 5 on Monday afternoon.
Nathan Ballard said the proposal took place on Saturday and the mayor's staff at City Hall was pleased to learn of the pending nuptials.
"We're very pleased that the mayor and Jennifer are engaged. We think she's lovely. And we wish them the best," he said.
Asked if a wedding date had been set, Ballard said he could not comment.
This will be the second marriage for the 40-year old Newsom, who divorced in 2006 after 5 years of marriage with Fox News Channel host Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Seibel, 33, has never been married before.
The couple, who continues vacationing in Hawaii, could not be reached for comment. They are expected to return to San Francisco later this week.
