Bay Area Transit Use Mixed As Gas Prices Drop

With commuters gassing up for about half as much as they were just a few months ago, CBS 5 wondered if more people would give up mass transit and go back to their cars.
BART has seen a modest decline in ridership since gas prices dropped. But officials with the agency believe recent layoffs may be the reason. Meanwhile, just about every other Bay Area transit agency has continued to see gains, including Caltrain, VTA, SamTrans and Golden Gate Transit.
