SJ May Restrict Bicyclists With Leashed Dogs
Kiet Do, Reporting.
SAN JOSE (CBS 5) ―
San Jose may soon become the first city in the nation to restrict riding bicycles and leading dogs on leashes at the same time. The proposal was prompted after a woman jogging on a trail died during a freak accident last month.
On September 16th, Beverly Head was on the Los Alamitos Creek Trail when a bike with two dogs on leashes entangled her, leading to the accident. A white cross now marks the scene of the accident, along with a sign posting a $5,000 reward to find the man involved. Councilmember Nancy Pyle will hold a community meeting Wednesday on how to change the law.
