Largest Passenger Plane In World Lands At SFO

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― A superjumbo, double-decker jet made its first landing at San Francisco International Airport on Monday.

Emirates Airlines from Dubai unveiled their Airbus A380, which is billed as the world's largest passenger aircraft.

Monday's visit to SFO was a promotional trip to showcase the 238-foot-long jet, with a wingspan of 261 feet. It can seat as many as 617 passengers.

Emirates Airlines plans to begin service from SFO to Dubai in December. Curently, the carrier flies from New York's JFK Airport to Dubai.
