Now's the time to nominate your local hero for a Bay Area Jefferson Award. This award, sponsored by the national organization
The Jefferson Awards, recognizes outstanding public service.
To submit the strongest nomination, the committee recommends you be detailed. Be specific about your nominee's contribution, day-to-day work, and inspiration.
Consider the committee's guiding principles: impact, inspiration, sustainability, innovation, and need. Ask yourself how your nominee's work relates to these core ideas and detail that in your nomination.
Don't include web links. The committee will not use computers during their meeting, so anything you want them to know must be included on your nomination form.
You must have your nomination in by the end of business on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 to have it considered this time.
