Human Remains Found Near Napa College

Police are investigating the apparent remains of a human skeleton found Friday afternoon near Napa Valley College, according to the Napa Police Department.

A person walking along the eastern edge of the college campus discovered the skeletal remains at about 2:30 p.m., police reported.

The remains were found near the college's new entrance from state Highway 221 and Magnolia Drive. The area had recently undergone construction for the new entrance, according to police.

Police have not identified the remains and the incident is under investigation.
