Howard Dean Hopes To Unite Dems In Bay Area Visit


MILLBRAE (CBS 5) ― In an effort to unite the Democrats, Chairman Howard Dean appeared in the Bay Area Friday night to heal divisions in the party resulting from the primary campaign.

At the meeting of California Democratic Party leaders it has been touch for some of Hillary Clinton's supporters to back presumptive nominee Barack Obama. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who attended the meeting, said a fractured party could hurt Democrats running for re-election in November.
