SF Boy Back At School After Brutal Attack On Muni
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ―
It has been more than a month since an 11-year-old San Francisco boy, riding the bus all alone for the first time was stabbed and hospitalized. He's back at school now, but his family isn't done worrying.
Hatim Mansori was attacked by a man while he was riding a San Francisco Muni bus, injuring his stomach, intestines and liver.
There have been dozens of sightings of the suspect reported over the past month, but so far, police have not tracked down the attacker.
Hatim has now returned to school, and says his classmantes made him fee welcome. But the troubles are not over for his family.
His mom Laila is just starting to deal with a blizzard of paperwork that will be coming. Bills could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. She doesn't know how much the family must pay.
A native of Morocco, she struggles with English and the bills.
