Green Changes At Home Can Lead To Big Savings

SAN RAMON (CBS 5) ― As the temperature drops, your home energy bill typically rises. But some changes can save you serious cash while reducing your home's carbon footprint.

Along with switching to fluorescent lights, replacing ductwork and adding insulation can save you hundreds of dollars a year. Many California homes waste 30 to 35 percent of their energy costs due to air leaks.
