South SF Gas Station Held Up For Cash, Cigarettes
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
Police are searching for two suspects believed to be responsible for robbing a South San Francisco gas station at gunpoint early Thursday morning.
Officers responded to a reported robbery at around 3:30 a.m. after two men allegedly entered a Chevron gas station at 300 S. Airport Blvd. and demanded the clerk hand over cash and cigarettes, according to the South San Francisco Police Department.
One of the suspects reportedly told the cashier he had a powerful MAC-10 submachine gun beneath his coat, though police did not confirm whether the weapon was seen.
The suspects fled the gas station with cash and several packs of Marlboro Lights in a newer model white Ford Taurus, last seen driving south on South Airport Boulevard, according to police.
No injuries were reported.
Both suspects were described as Hispanic men in their 20s, around 6 feet tall and wearing goatees. One was described as having an average build and was wearing a black baseball cap, a black "puffy" jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was heavyset and wore a red beanie with the letters "SF," a black jacket over a white shirt and khaki pants.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900.
