East Bay Station Selling Gas For $3.99 A Gallon

CONCORD (CBS 5) ― The Bay Area's chepeast gas on Friday could be found in the East Bay for under $4.00 a gallon.

A customer appreciation promotion was drawing long lines of waiting vehicles to a gas station at Willow Pass Road and Granada Drive in Concord.

That's where Bonfare Market had priced their regular unleaded gasoline at $3.99 a gallon, a price drivers hadn't seen in some time.

Bonfare's management said that while they were taking a loss on gas sales, they hoped to make up the money on sales of other items at their store.

The promotion will last through the weekend.
