Blue Angels Arrive For SF Fleet Week

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ― The U.S. Navy's Blue Angels flew in formation into San Francisco International Airport Tuesday, days before the city's annual Fleet Week celebration officially kicks off.

The precision flight demonstration team will be conducting practice flights Thursday and Friday.

Fleet Week brings together the U.S. Navy, Marines Corp and Coast Guard to offer air shows, ship tours, a parade and festivals, according to the event Web site.

The two-day Fleet Week Air Show will be held Saturday and Sunday.

Fleet Week 2009 will also feature a parade of U.S. Navy ships along the San Francisco waterfront as well as ship tours.

A full list of Fleet Week events is available online at http://fleetweek.us/fleetweek.

All flights are subject to cancellation or change due to weather.
