Calif. Wants Flat-Screen TV's More Efficient

If you don't have a flat screen television, chances are you're probably thinking about getting one. While they're great for time on the couch, they are not so great for your energy bill.
Compared to old tube TV's, the modern sets can contribute to 10 percent of your electric bill. Now the State of California wants manufacturers of plasma, LCD and rear-projection TV's to make them more energy efficient. Beginning in 2011, electronics companies that sell televisions in California will have to comply with new rules.
