Pickup Truck Driver Killed In Crash East Of Sonoma

SONOMA (BCN) ― The California Highway Patrol said one person was killed Friday afternoon in a solo-vehicle accident on Napa Road at Burndale Road east of the city of Sonoma near the Sonoma-Napa counties border.

CHP Officer A. Paulson said a red pickup truck went into a ditch around 2:10 p.m. The victim reportedly was driving recklessly before the crash, Paulson said.

The Sonoma County coroner's office has been called to the scene and was expected to arrive by 4 p.m., the CHP said. One-way traffic is in effect on Napa Road, Paulson said.
