The Alameda County coroner's bureau identified Douglas Rasmussen as the man killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon outside of Livermore near the San Joaquin border.

The 50-year-old Tracy man apparently went off Tesla Road and crashed into a fence around 12:40 p.m. about one mile west of the Alameda-San Joaquin county line, California Highway Patrol Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
