La Honda Motorcycle Crash Leaves 1 Man Dead
LA HONDA (BCN) ―
A 29-year-old Menlo Park man died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing on westbound state Highway 84 in unincorporated San Mateo County near La Honda Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 10:10 a.m. on westbound Highway 84 near Entrada Way, according to the CHP.
A witness driving behind the motorcyclist reported seeing the man lose control of his 2009 Honda motorcycle around a turn and crash into a guardrail. The man was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered major internal injuries, according to the CHP.
He was airlifted to Stanford Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 2:23 p.m.
The crash blocked westbound Highway 84 for nearly an hour while emergency crews responded to the scene. All lanes were reopened on the highway by 11:05 a.m., according to the CHP.
