Contra Costa Co. Coroner IDs Crash Victim
CONCORD (BCN) ―
The Contra Costa County coroner's office Saturday identified Antioch resident Armando Hernandez as the victim of an early morning crash on northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Concord.
The collision was reported at about 12:10 a.m. just south of Concord Avenue on Highway 680, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Marc Johnston.
Hernandez, 31, was killed in the crash, which involved at least two vehicles, coroner's Deputy McDonald said.
The collision blocked the three left lanes and part of a fourth lane on the highway, according to Johnston.
A Sig-alert was issued at about 12:25 a.m. and canceled when the lanes were reopened at about 3:25 a.m., Johnston said.
