New Takeover Robbery At El Cerrito Restaurant

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

EL CERRITO (CBS 5 / BCN) ― Police are investigating another takeover-style robbery in the Bay Area after two suspects robbed a Chinese seafood restaurant in El Cerrito Tuesday night.

Two suspects entered the Yuet Foo restaurant at 10350 San Pablo Ave. at about 9:15 p.m., according to Sgt. Peter Statton.

The suspects stole cash and property from various employees and patrons of the restaurant before fleeing on foot west toward Richmond, Statton said.

Police describe the suspects as black males, 18-20 years old. One was 6-feet tall, the other approximately 5-foot-8. One suspect wore a white t-shirt and dark baggy pants, while the other wore a white t-shirt, dark-colored shorts and a black ski mask, Statton said.

The incident is the latest in a string of takeover-style robberies in cities around the East Bay, including a robbery of another Chinese restaurant, Great River, in Hayward on Monday night.
