 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

DUBLIN (CBS 5 / KCBS) ― Officials in Alameda County Thursday found a missing boy who prompted officials to issue an Amber Alert earlier in the day.

According to Dublin Police, the boyfriend of the five-year-old Justin Nottingham's mother took off with the child to go get fast food around midnight Thursday.

They issued an Amber Alert later that morning when the boyfriend, identified as Harold Bennett, still hadn't returned with the boy.

Officials spotted the car Bennett was believed to be driving on 8th and Mandella Parkway in Oakland around 3:30 p.m. They found Bennett and the boy walking nearby a short while later.

Bennett was taken into custody. Officials said the boy appeared to be fine and would be reunited with his mother.
